Alyssa Ramsay

Described CSQ 095 (1)as having “marvellous facility, and extraordinary musical sensibilities”, cellist Alyssa Ramsay has performed across Canada, focusing mainly on inspiring a love of classical music in rural communities as a member of the Crimson String Quartet. In addition to winning the Regina Musical Club Competition in May 2015, Ms. Ramsay won first place at The Glenn Gould School Chamber Music Competition with the Vero Piano Quartet in 2013 and second place with the Amara String Quartet in 2014, and was a winner of the Saskatchewan Music Festival Association Concerto Competition in 2012.

Ms. Ramsay received a Bachelor of Music with Distinction from University of Calgary with John Kadz (2010), a Master of Music from l’Université de Montréal with Johanne Perron (2012), an Artist Diploma at The Glenn Gould School at The Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto with Desmond Hoebig (2014), and an Advanced Performance Certificate from Mount Royal University with John Kadz and Johanne Perron (2015).
